A mass-produced late 20th-century five-drawer tall chest of drawers, or tallboy. The piece is constructed from a composite wood carcase, such as particle board or MDF, finished in a honey oak-effect laminate. The chest features a decorative ogee-style moulding to the top edge. Each of the five drawers is fitted with a pair of brass-effect swan-neck drop handles mounted on circular backplates. The drawer interiors and joinery are not visible but are consistent with mass-production techniques. There are no visible maker marks, labels, or stamps on the exterior of the item.
