Clear ThisHouse Clearance

Bereavement & Probate House Clearance

Respectful, discreet clearances for families, executors and solicitors — handled at your pace and with genuine compassion.

Clearing the home of someone who has passed away is never just a job. A bereavement or probate clearance is the careful, respectful emptying of a loved one’s property — often on behalf of executors or solicitors — handled discreetly and entirely at your pace.

Jennie treats every bereavement clearance as though it were for one of her own family. Other companies have been known to describe a person’s belongings as “junk”; we never will.

What’s included

  • A sensitive, unhurried clearance at your pace
  • Mattresses & personal items wrapped before they leave the home
  • Keepsakes, photographs and documents set aside for you
  • Work to solicitors’ and executors’ timescales
  • Probate valuations of the contents available

How it works

We’ll talk through everything gently and at a time that suits you. If you need a probate valuation, we can provide one. We set aside anything of sentimental or financial value for you to keep, clear the property with care, and can liaise directly with your solicitor or estate agent so it’s one less thing to think about.

Why choose Clear This Ltd?

We’re trusted for this work by families across Lancashire and by local social services. With over 30 years’ experience, we’re a family-run, female-led business and a registered Lancashire Trading Standards Safe Trader. We’re fully licensed and insured, ask for no payment upfront, and use plain unmarked vans for complete discretion. Above all, we recycle and re-home as much as we possibly can — our promise of Zero to Landfill is real.

Questions

Bereavement & Probate — FAQs

Can you provide a probate valuation?

Yes. We can give a written valuation of the household contents for probate, and any saleable items can be offset against the clearance cost.

Will you work with our solicitor or executor?

Absolutely. We regularly work to solicitors’ and executors’ timescales and can liaise with them directly.

What happens to sentimental items?

Anything you ask us to keep — photographs, documents, keepsakes — is carefully set aside for you. Nothing of obvious value or sentiment is thrown away.

Will the clearance be discreet?

Yes. We use plain, unmarked white vans and a quiet, respectful team, so neighbours need never know.
