A Goebel porcelain figurine depicting a pair of songbirds, modelled as sparrows, perched together on a branch. The piece is naturalistically decorated in a palette of brown, cream, and white with yellow highlights around the eyes and beaks. The underside features a blue underglaze Goebel mark with the V and bee symbol and the text W. Germany. The base is also marked with an incised model number 38 035 and a stamped number 48.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. The glazed surface retains a bright and even finish.
