A Spanish hand-painted glazed porcelain figurine of a woman in a seated pose. The figure is depicted wearing a wide-brimmed lavender-toned hat and a high-waisted white bodice featuring blue vertical panelling and a small bow at the neckline. She is seated within the voluminous folds of a pale pink skirt, which is finished with a wide, ruffled blue-grey border. The woman is posed leaning back on her left arm, with her right hand resting delicately on the fabric of her skirt. The base of the piece bears a brown printed mark for ‘NAO’, accompanied by ‘HAND MADE IN SPAIN BY LLADRO’ and a copyright date of 1987. Several impressed and incised marks are also present on the underside, including the number ‘4755’, a small circular device, and two separate two-digit characters.
