A studio pottery stoneware mug or tankard of tapered cylindrical form. The vessel is designed with a flared rim, a subtle raised median ridge, and a large integrated loop handle. It is decorated with a vibrant, variegated drip glaze in a high-gloss finish, displaying a palette of cobalt, navy, and electric blue tones over a darker ground. The unglazed base reveals a reddish-brown stoneware body. The underside is impressed with an unidentified shield-shaped seal mark containing horizontal rows of repeating symbolic motifs. The top row consists of four short vertical lines, with the rows below featuring repeating circular or wave-like shapes arranged in a grid pattern that tapers towards the base of the shield.
