An Art Deco style sideboard, likely of mid-20th century British manufacture. The piece features a central bank of four graduated bow-fronted drawers, flanked by two large cupboard doors. The exterior is finished in highly figured walnut veneer with a matched grain pattern across the front panels. The drawers and cupboards are fitted with ornate cast metal handles in a traditional decorative style. The unit is topped with a low scalloped gallery rail and stands on a shaped plinth base. The overall form and construction are characteristic of furniture produced by manufacturers such as Beautility or Harris Lebus during the 1940s and 1950s.
